The non-calcified architectural distortion, radial scar / sclerosing ductal hyperplasia may cause a considerable differential diagnostic problem for the radiologist reading and interpreting mammograms. This benign hyperplastic breast change can mimic breast malignancy, therefore it is important to understand the underlying pathophysiologic process leading to its development. Correlation with large format thin and thick section histopathology images provide the best help to understand the capabilities and limitations of our diagnostic tools.
